Why Doesn’t Anyone Stay in Their Lane Anymore?

Fools are temporarily dividing the world

Express yourself but don’t oppress others

It has become more and more obvious that the world has become increasingly divided. My opinion is that the individuals we have either given authority to or we have esteemed in some way have grossly overstepped their area of expertise. The result of this is that the integrity, reputation, and respect for their position, they have either earned or been given, has been destroyed because they have abused the privilege awarded to them by the people. Many of these individuals, or entities, are now, or soon will be, like a pile of junk at the side of the road as a result of not staying in their lane.

Everyone has the right to express their opinion just like everyone has a nose. But, just because I have a nose, and someone likes to pick theirs, does not give them the right to pick my nose! I wish these individuals would quit insulting my intelligence and showing a lack of intelligence by thinking that because they are thought to be an expert in one thing that they are an expert in anything else.

Consider the source

Would you buy a product or service from someone or something that is clearly outside their lane? My answer is no. The reason I say this is that their opinion is no more credible than mine and it makes me wonder what factors have contributed to them expressing themselves. It’s like going to the gym and someone in worse shape than you gives you advice on how to be in better shape.

I find myself saying more and more, “What is really going on?” because I have so many questions that I am not allowed to ask or I am insulted if I ask them.

Whatever happened to the saying, “There is no such thing as a stupid question”?

In my case, the trust is now gone and I am more and more skeptical that what I am being told is accurate.

What possesses someone or some entity to think they are in a position to influence anyone in an area they are clearly not an expert in? My feeling is that doing this creates division because they are out of their lane. Then, if what is said is difficult to agree with they will choose an alternative representative, product, or service.

This is why I believe actors, sports celebrities and leagues, consumer product companies, services, politicians, medical professionals, and every form of media have lost the respect of so many. Just look at their sales and ratings. I have never seen so much interest lost in my life. So much credibility and integrity have been lost that will never return. Even those still hoping for recovery will eventually figure it out and seek an alternative. Many are of the belief that because so much effort is put into a certain narrative then it can’t be good. I liken this to a used car salesman selling a piece of junk as a good car. I believe their ego and arrogance has taken them out of their lane.

Enough is enough!

The tide is clearly shifting in that personal boundaries have been repeatedly compromised and many have finally stood up to the bullying and manipulation. The narrative is clearly very radical and controlled. What happened to the news? Those who think they are controlling the narrative think they are way smarter than they actually are and the truth is finally being revealed because this world has become ridiculous. Lockdowns and masks are going away not because of science but because people have had enough and they have sought out the truth on their own. To me, FEAR stands for False Evidence Appearing Real and now that much of the false evidence has been revealed no one fears anymore. Humans are socializing again and having conversations. We are seeking answers on our own.

The tide is turning

Many are surprised to find out that the questions about what is going on are the same. Now, more and more, the people are rallying together and demanding answers. They are figuring out what has really been going on. Those that abused their celebrity, corporate, or public status perpetuating a forced or false narrative are now realizing that their reputation is ruined. Humans are social beings and love to communicate and share knowledge and wisdom and this is making those that have ventured out of their lane double down on their narrative and become even more ridiculous, but it is futile.

It is so ironic that the same people who quickly shut down any ideas that were not in line with their narrative by falsely labeling them “debunked conspiracy theories” are now being exposed as the actual purveyors of conspiracy theories. Along with this, the “fact-checkers” have been revealed as complete frauds. The childish and baseless tactic of calling people names like a racist, a sexist, a homophobe, a conspiracy theorist, or some other undesirable and unsubstantiated label or judgment usually comes back to the one expressing that opinion. It is also laughable that when these allegations are proven false that there is no accountability or repercussion. People may let the odd baseless remark go but as the truth is revealed the source of these insults just becomes noise. It is said that when you point a finger at someone there are three fingers pointing back at you seems to be very obvious these days. Didn’t we outgrow this tactic of calling names when we were in grade three?

Defining the context and considering the source is the new norm because the individuals and entities that used to be trusted to validate and filter the truth for us have lost their credibility.

Lanes are important

Can you imagine a highway with no lanes? It is pure logic that if a car stays in its lane and knows its place in that lane with like-minded others that there would not be any drama and everyone will get to their destination on time. We have all seen the driver that isn’t satisfied with this and they change lanes and disrupt the order to try and benefit themselves at the expense of everyone else. Sometimes the disruptor causes others to have an accident and sometimes they are in the middle of it. All I know is that nobody likes them and it is sometimes very satisfying to pass them after they have been pulled over by the police. Everyone agrees about this but the world has decided to allow this to happen. I don’t need to list the entirety of examples of this because every day more and more individuals and groups have the courage to ask questions and express themselves in what they believe to be true.

When we seek the truth and stay in our lane while others do the same there will be peace without drama. We need to be free to have conversations that include every opinion so that we can make an informed decision. Many times in rush hour traffic I have seen someone decide to leave a lane by sneaking or manipulating themselves into another lane. This is many times followed by that same individual deciding they didn’t like that lane and so they try to get back into their old lane. These individuals are usually met with a great amount of resistance. I have seen lanes unify in their resistance to this attempt to return to the lane they left.

I believe this same kind of resistance will happen to those that have abused their status and haven’t stayed in their lane. Traffic must flow. Eventually, traffic balances and order resumes. Traffic flows both ways and not just one way in a free world with righteous order that includes the right to seek the truth. Opinions need to be allowed to be expressed and respected within the proper lanes. We need to have the ability to listen, think, and then make an informed decision. Those opportunists who have forced their narrative, spread fear, manipulated, and profited from their actions that have deeply affected so many will have a day of reconning. The fools that have temporarily divided the world will find that they didn’t think things through by not staying in their lane. They have grossly underestimated the power of truth and the people like you and me that stay in our lane.
